DAY AND NIGHT

Once upon a time,

There was no day,

Neither was there night.

All that was,

Were the sun and the moon.

They were always together,

Radiating in their brightness.

With time moon noted,

That the sun took all the glory.

For he was much more brighter,

Than moon could ever think to be.

He tried and tried and tried,

But his efforts never paid off,

He felt really incompetent,

For his brightness was never seen.

He thought the sun to be a born winner,

And thus took it as his fate.

Soon wind came whistling by,

Hoping  that moon would cheer,

But rather he was sober,

With no smile on his face to wear.

Wind probed and moon spewed,

In concession and defeat,

Of how he'd always play second fiddle,

To unequivocal Mr sun.

"Dig deep my friend", wind said,

"You'd find solution,

For your problems come to you,

Only because you have the answer.

And the only time you'd fail,

Is when you decide to give up."

Moon pondered these words,

And decided to keep trying.

Soon he invented darkness,

Which sun was allergic to.

Moon took over the stage,

While sun was under cover,

And darkness made moon brighter,

To shine for all to see.

In view of equality and fairness,

Moon proposed a negotiation,

And after every twelve hours,

They both take turns,

In reflecting their glories.

And by so doing,

The Moon's brightness became known,

And that was the beginning,

Of day and night.

Many a time,

We concede to defeat,

Because we are of the thought,

That some are born winners.

Let me assure you,

There are no born winners,

Just dynamic people,

Who with dynamism eliminate their obstacles.
